Keith Norton

Sportscaster

Keith Norton joined KPRC Local 2 as the weekend sports anchor and reporter in January 2007.


Born in Los Angeles, he was raised in a heavy sports atmosphere.


Keith stayed close to home after high school, earning his bachelor\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s degree in broadcast journalism from Chapman University in Orange, Calif.


Keith comes to KRPC Local 2 from KOVR in Sacramento, Calif., where he worked as a sports anchor and reporter. He has also worked in Miami, Hattiesburg, Miss., and Louisville, Ky.


While the statistics and highlight reels make for good television, he enjoys exploring the personal side of sports athletes.

Aside from the having a huge depth of sports reporting experience, Keith also has a wealth of insight into the personal lives of professional athletes.


With two professional athletes in the family, relating personally to sports competitors comes naturally to Keith.


His father, Ken Norton, is a former World Heavyweight Boxing champion, but the sports talent doesnt stop there.


His brother, Ken Norton Jr., is a former All-Pro NFC linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers and is currently the linebacker coach at the University of Southern California.


Keith enjoys sports of his own, spending his free time playing basketball, working out, skiing and practicing yoga.


Among his greatest personal accomplishments is a one-on-one interview with his father while working in Louisville and a personal interview with former Heavyweight Boxing champion Mike Tyson.  Keith also interviewed Former President, George Bush, Sr, at the Shell Houston Open.
