Keith Russell is an Action News sports anchor & reporter. Keith joined Action News as a weekend sports anchor in August of 2005.

Prior to joining Action News, Keith spent almost 6 years as a sports anchor for ESPN. He primarily anchored ESPN News, while also gaining invaluable experience hosting Sportscenter and Basketball 2Nite. Overall, Russell has been with the Walt Disney Corporation for over 10 years. Russell also had stops at WJAR TV in Providence, Rhode Island, WJTV in Jackson, Mississippi, and WHLT in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Keith graduated from Morgan State University with a BA degree in communications in 1995.

Born and raised in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane section, Keith is a proud alum of Central High School (Class 250). Russell is excited to give motivational speeches to Philadelphia area students and thrilled to cover his favorite sports teams. His proudest moment at Action News came in 2008 when he reported live from the field at Citizens Bank Park after the Phillies won the World Series Title. He hopes for many more such times. Russell lives with his wife and former college sweetheart Charnita.
